CANCELLED: In the light of the Government’s announcement (16th March 2020) with the restriction to “Avoid non-essential travel”  Higham Hall College is cancelling all courses for at least two weeks until Tuesday 31st March. Therefore the Waterloo Association study weekend due to run Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March is cancelled.  Refunds or credits will be offered by Higham who will be trying to contact all attendees.

We are sorry for the disappointment this will cause. We plan to run the 2020 programme when we return to Higham in 2021

“Waterloo: Building Armies and Armies Building”- Study Weekend Higham Hall

The anniversaries this year are the Lines of Torres Vedras and Busaco. Other talks will examine the background, development and activities of some of the regiments, corps and armies who were to meet on the field at Waterloo. We will also look at the organisation of the Austrian Army. There will also be a trip on Saturday afternoon to the site of the last battle fought on English soil.
