Speakers include: Marcus Decies: From Portugal with Love. The story of Waldron and Ana Ludovina Kelly, Carole Divall: Lieut Gen Sir Benjamin d’Urban (Marshal Beresford’s Quarter Master General and Chief of Staff), Anne Grimshaw: Broad Stripes and Bright Stars. (local involvement in the US flag at Fort McHenry and the US national anthem), Michael Heyland: Major Arthur Rowley Heyland (commander of the 40th in the Peninsular War and at Waterloo), Richard Sills: Vice Admiral Philippe d’Auvergne – Thinker, Sailor, Soldier, Spy and Jim Tanner: Tommy Atkins against Old Trousers (A comparison of the qualities of British and French soldiers)

The symposium cost is £100 which covers attendance at the lectures, dinner on 23 October, buffet lunch on 24 October, and teas and coffees. Accommodation at The Bull is separate (£90 for a double room and £70 for a single or single occupancy of a double, breakfast included).
