The southern branch of the Association has arranged a guided tour of Goodwood House (1.15 hours) followed by an afternoon tea at about 3.45pm. The tour will include the Waterloo artefacts (painting of the Duchess of Richmond’s ball, portrait of Duke of Wellington, Waterloo china and a copy of Napoleon’s chair) alongside the normal look at the house and its collections. It is planned as a relaxing and interesting afternoon’s entertainment.

Also, on the same day there is a major cycling event in the area (Velo South 2018) and so local roads will be closed. The event will have started by the time members arrive at the House so there should be no difficulty getting to the venue.
